Lifewave Information

Lifewave patches are the modern equivalent to acupuncture. Makers of Lifewave say their products have been shown to relieve pain, enhance sleep, increase antioxidants and improve energy. They are similar to trans-dermal patches, which administer a specific dose of medication through the skin; however, Lifewave patches do not deliver any substances into the body. Instead, they act like molecular antennas, according to the manufacturer, producing unique heating and cooling effects that are beneficial to the user's metabolic responses.

  1. Traditional Chinese Medicine

    • Lifewave patches work on the principles of traditional Chinese medicine, using a system of energy meridians to carry the Qi, or life force, to various places throughout the body. These are the same pathways acupuncturists use when administering their needle therapy in the Chinese tradition. Lifewave says a number of scientific studies have shown that these meridians are real, and can be put to use with updated technology.

    Infrared Thermal Imaging

    • A 1993 study at the Fijian Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) used infrared thermal imaging to map these meridian channels radiating over the body's surface. This same diagnostic equipment measures a noticeable increase in heating, cooling and electrical effects in the area of the body in which the Lifewave patch is in contact.

    Nanotechnology

    • Lifewave patches use nanotechnology to create beneficial properties from an arranged sequence of atoms. NASA first recognized the importance of nanotech for converting microwaves into electricity. Later, Lifewave manufacturers expanded on those ideas, using organic compounds to influence biological functions in the human body.

    Patch Ingredients

    • Lifewave patches use a blend of water, oxygen, amino acids, sugars and various organic materials sealed within a polymer shell, applied to the skin with polyester fabric. According to the manufacturer, placement in the proper location on the body increases fat burning, which energizes the body so there is no "buzz" effect or stimulant feeling that other energy products have. Other Lifewave patches have ingredients to elevate antioxidant levels, or to make you feel younger. The composition of each patch focuses on a specific health issue.
