How to Become a Licensed Spiritual Health Coach

A spiritual health coach helps people with physical, emotional, intuitive and spiritual problems by guiding them through a process of evaluation and decision-making to resolve the problem and heal the person. A coach may employ special healing techniques like reflexology, aromatherapy, chakra healing, crystal therapy, prayer and meditation, if the coach is also certified or licensed in those specific techniques. This type of coach is licensed by the Spiritual Health Coach License Board, which is a committee of the Universal Gnostic Fellowship. You may earn a spiritual health coach license by completing courses and workshops required by license board and submitting an application.

  Complete all three of the required correspondence courses offered by Healer Coach: Professional Practices, Professional Ethics and Informed Consent. You may purchase these courses on the Healer Coach website.

  Enroll in the Basic Coaching Skills workshop and complete the five week course, which is offered by telephone conference call. You may enroll in this workshop on the Healer Coach website.

  Prepare a list of the healing techniques you plan to use when coaching.

  Prepare a list of any licenses and certifications you hold related to healing, specifically those approved by the Federation of Spiritual Healer License Boards.

  Prepare a healing mission statement that describes your healing techniques.

  Draft an informed consent form for your clients to review and sign.

  Complete the Spiritual Health Coach License application and enclose the list of your healing techniques, the list of your licenses and certifications, your healing mission statement, your informed consent form, a check for $65 (in 2010) and your application form. Mail these items to the license board at:
