Soothe Your Upset Stomach With Lavender Tea
-
1
Use a teakettle or a small pot to boil water. One cup of water for each mug-sized serving of tea is sufficient.
-
2
Put 1 tsp. of dried lavender flowers into a tea strainer for each cup of water. You could add chamomile or lemon verbena for a slightly different flavor. Lavender flowers and other herbal plants are available at many natural and health food stores.
-
3
Brew your lavender tea in a teapot for 5 to 10 minutes, depending on how strong you like it. Don't let it brew too long or it will be bitter.
-
4
Pour the tea into a mug and add sugar, milk or honey if needed. Sip slowly, allowing your upset stomach to settle.
-
5
Nibble on some light crackers or toast as you drink your tea. The combination of the lavender and a small amount of food in your stomach can relieve discomfort due to indigestion, nausea or even hunger.
Calm Your Upset Stomach With a Lavender Bath
