1
Measure 1 cup grain or isopropyl alcohol into a clean spray bottle. Either form of alcohol is acceptable as long as it meets the 60 to 95 percent alcohol requirement, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
-
2
Add 1/2 cup aloe vera gel and 1/4 cup distilled water. The ancient Egyptians used aloe vera as a healing plant, and the sticky sap from its leaves acts as a moisturizing agent.
-
3
Add 5 drops tea tree oil. Attach sprayer and shake to mix ingredients. Tea tree oil acts as a natural antibacterial agent. You also may add a few drops of fragrance oil if you do not like the strong smell of tea tree.

Spray on hands and rub together until dry. Wash hands with soap and water prior to using hand-sanitizer spray. Hand-sanitizer spray is not a replacement for proper hand washing practices. Washing with soap and water cleans the hands while the hand-sanitizer spray disinfects to inhibit the spread of germs.
