The first thing you can do to treat sties is to make a eyebright compress. Mixing 1 tsp. of eyebright tincture and 3 tbsp. of boiling water, allow it to cool to the touch. You will then soak a gauze in the solution. Wring out the gauze and place on the sty directly for 15 minutes. As the compress becomes cooled, replace with a fresh one. This should be done at least 4 times a day.

Making an herbal compress is beneficial for sties as well, this can be done by taking 2 tbsp. of each herb ( chamomile, agrimony, thyme or marigold) and seep in 1 cup of boiling water. Seep for 15 minutes and drain, wring out the gauze and place on the sty directly for 15 minutes. As the compress becomes cooled, replace with a fresh one. This should be done at least 4 times a day.
