How to Use Eucalyptus for Sores

Eucalyptus is one of the most versatile healing herbs known to man, as it has anti-spasmodic, anti-fungal, anti-viral, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. Additionally, eucalyptus helps to heal burns and blisters, kill the virus which causes cold sores, prevent and heal infection and more.

      Help to dry, heal and relieve the pain of skin ulcers, such as bed sores, diabetic ulcers and more. Mix a solution of 1 part eucalyptus essential oil and 5 parts water, soaking a cloth or gauze bandage in the water. Apply to the affected area for 30 minutes and then allow to air dry. Apply two or three times daily as needed.

      Treat sores cause by or accompanied by dry, chapped skin by mixing 10 to 15 drops of eucalyptus essential oil with 2 cups of olive oil. Massage the oil into the affected area whenever needed for soothing relief.

      Prevent infection and promote healing of blisters, burns, insect bites and other sores. Mix 1 part eucalyptus essential oil and 5 parts aloe vera gel, applying to skin sores two or three times daily.

      Make a healing mouthwash to help eliminate cold sores inside the mouth. Mix 10 drops of eucalyptus essential oil in 2 Tbsp. of water and rinse the mouth for at least 30 seconds, two or three times daily.

      Eliminate cold sores on the lips by adding 5 drops of eucalyptus essential oil with 1 tbsp. of petroleum jelly. Mix well and store the remedy in a cool, dark place, applying to your cold sores four or five times daily.

      Get full body relieve from rash, hives or other skin conditions which create sores over a large area of the body by adding 10 to 15 drops of eucalyptus essential oil to a warm bath and soaking for at least 15 minutes.
