How to Dilute Essential Oils
Essential oils have a broad range of therapeutic benefits. To reap the most from these benefits, it's important to understand the process of diluting essential oils into carrier oils. Most essential oils require dilution to make them safe for application to the skin. The exceptions to this rule are lavender and tea tree oil. A standard dilution amount is 2.5 percent or 15 drops of essential oils, or a synergistic blend of essential oils, in one ounce of a carrier oil, such as sweet almond oil. One fluid ounce is generally about 600 drops. It doesn't take a lot of essential oil to have a powerful impact on healing.Things You'll Need
