Aromatherapy Oils & Their Uses
Essential oils have a number of uses that are shared by several oils. That means that you can select five or 10 basic aromatherapy oils and create a blend to help treat almost any ailment.-
Lavender Essential Oil

Lavender is probably the most useful oil to have. It can be used for: sinus headaches, colds, congestion, immune stimulant, eczema, bug bites, insomnia, stress, rashes, high blood pressure, bee stings and burns.
Eucalyptus Oil

Eucalyptus oil is often used to treat flu, colds, congestion, cough, rheumatism and laryngitis. You can also use it as an insect repellent, antiseptic and pesticide.
Peppermint Oil

Peppermint, and to a lesser extent Spearmint oil, is an excellent antiseptic and bee repellent. Also use it for upset tummy, sea sickness, for some types of migraines, fever and as an anti-inflammatory.
Rosemary Oil

Rosemary can be used to treat low blood pressure, as a memory and energy booster, to treat muscle pain, circulatory problems, and rheumatism and arthritis.
Chamomile

Chamomile is a blue essential oil--the blue being caused by azulene, a powerful anti-inflammatory. Mixing a bit of chamomile oil with eucalyptus, peppermint and lavender in olive oil is a great arthritis and sore muscle treatment. The oil is also calming and good for insomnia.
