1
Choose 100 percent pure essential oils--only these offer healthful benefits. The label will state "100 percent pure." You can find them at health food stores and online. Don’t use synthetic oils as they do not have the same benefits.
-
2
Choose which formula you prefer based on what the person snoring prefers to smell. Formula one uses geranium, lavender, marjoram, cedarwood, eucalyptus and sweet basil essential oils. Formula two uses marjoram, lemongrass, sandalwood, myrtle and lavender.
-
3
Prepare the mist spray bottle. Fill the bottle with 4 fluid oz. (or 120 ml) of purified water.
-
4
Add the oils for formula one. To the water, add 50 drops of geranium, 50 of lavender, 50 of marjoram, 20 of cedarwood, 15 of eucalyptus and 15 of sweet basil.
-
5
Add the oils for formula two. To the water, add 60 drops of marjoram, 40 of lemongrass, 40 of sandalwood, 30 of myrtle and 30 of lavender.
-
6
Cap the bottle and shake well to mix ingredients.
-
7
Spritz five to 10 sprays of the mist in the air before going to bed and have the person who snores inhale deeply several times. If necessary, you can mist again during the night to help quiet the snoring.
