1
Have a professional masseuse use the raindrop technique. In the raindrop technique 7 essential oils and 2 therapeutic oils are gently dropped onto the skin and then gently massaged in. Often a warm, damp towel is then placed onto the back to ensure the essential oils are absorbed.

2
Create your own back massage oil using a few drops lavender, chamomile and rosemary. Mix these essential oils with a carrier oil such as grapeseed oil. Ask for a professional masseuse to rub this essential oil blend into your back.

3
Try icing the back before and after massaging it with essential oils. A warm compress before and after using essential oils to help them be absorbed into the skin may also be helpful.
