How to Use Serenity Essential Oil

Taken from parts of plants, essential oils are a highly concentrated, clear liquids. Unlike the artificial scents found in perfumes, the aromas found in essential oils are natural scents that have been found to provide physical and psychological benefits to those who use them. The essential oil serenity is believed to relieve stress. As stated by doTERRA Oil, serenity's combination of lavender, sweet marjoram, roman chamomile, ylang ylang, sandalwood and vanilla bean give off a calming scent. The calming effects of serenity can be used to help relax children, animals and adults.

Things You'll Need

  • Serenity essential oil
  • 1 spray bottle, 2 oz.
  • Water
  • Bottle of unscented lotion
  • Oil warmer

Instructions

  1. Using Serenity Essential Oil as a Spray

    • 1

      Place 10 serenity essential oil drops into a 2 oz. spray bottle. Gently drip the oil into the bottle, being careful to not use more than stated.

      Fill the remainder of the spray bottle with water.

      Shake the spray bottle only enough to disperse the oil throughout the water.

      Spray the mixture around the desired area as needed.

    Using Serenity Essential Oil Topically

      Place three to 15 drops of serenity essential oil into a bottle of unscented lotion. The amount of drops used should be appropriate to the size of the lotion bottle. Use moderately.

      Close and shake the lotion bottle to combine the oil with the unscented lotion.

      Apply the lotion to the skin where desired. By placing the lotion on the bottom of feet, the oil can aid in a restful sleep.

    Using Serenity in an Oil Warmer

      Place a few drops of serenity essential oil into an oil warmer. Use the oil moderately.

      Add a small amount of water to the oil in the oil warmer. The water will help to disperse the scent in the oil.

      Heat the oil with the oil warmer. If using an electric oil warmer, turn the warmer on and allow it to warm. If using a tea-light warmer, light the tea-light candle and allow the warmer to warm.
