Does the blood vessel which carry from heart to lungs contain a lot oxygen?

The blood vessels that carry blood from the heart to the lungs are called pulmonary arteries. These arteries carry deoxygenated blood away from the heart and towards the lungs. Therefore, the blood in pulmonary arteries does not contain a lot of oxygen.
