Is the blood deoxegenated or oxygenated in pulmonary circuit?
The blood is deoxygenated in the pulmonary circuit.
Oxygenated blood is pumped into the aorta from the left ventricle. The aorta branches into several arteries that supply oxygenated blood to the body. Deoxygenated blood from the body returns to the heart through the superior and inferior vena cavae. The deoxygenated blood enters the right atrium and is pumped into the right ventricle. The right ventricle pumps the deoxygenated blood into the pulmonary artery. The pulmonary artery branches into two arteries that carry the deoxygenated blood to the lungs. In the lungs, the deoxygenated blood is oxygenated and the oxygenated blood returns to the heart through the pulmonary veins. The oxygenated blood enters the left atrium and is pumped into the left ventricle.
