Instructions

    • 1

Cut down a square of fabric measuring 5 by 5 inches. Denim, canvas and sturdy cottons are ideal fabric choices to use as a pincushion. However, you can select any fabric texture, color or pattern you want.

    • 2

Spread the small square of fabric with the faded side facing upward. Cover the center of the square with 1/4 cup of cotton balls.

    • 3

Fold the top left-hand corner of the square inward diagonally, covering the center of the square. Squeeze a dot of hot glue on the top side of the corner folded fabric. Pull the bottom right-hand corner upward in a diagonal direction, adhering the underside of the corner to the glued topside of the other corner of fabric. Squeeze a dot of hot glue on the top surface of the second folded corner.

    • 4

Pull the top right-hand corner downward in the same fashion as the previous steps, adhering it to the glue. Squeeze a dot of glue on top of it, and pull the final free corner of the fabric to it. This leaves you with a puffy pillow of fabric.

    • 5

Squeeze a quarter-sized amount of hot glue into the center of the reservoir of the tablespoon. Immediately press the folded sized of the pin-cushion part to the glued spoon. Press firmly and let it dry for one minute before releasing your hold. This completes your spoon pincushion.
