Electric Massage Treatment Tables
Massage tables are a necessity for professional massage therapists. Therapists' clients have to be able to feel relaxed during the sessions. Comfort is a serious element in the treatment of their problems. The massage tables come in a variety of types. Therapists usually have a stationary massage table or an electrically powered massage table. Both have their advantages, but the electrically powered table is more efficient for both the client and the therapists. Most powered tables are equipped to serve as either an examination table or treatment table.-
Prices
-
The price is equal to the value of the table. Prices for the electrically powered massage tables, generally, start at about $1,500. The table's price includes the added luxuries of being a powered table. The price difference is substantial in contrast to a standard, non-electrically powered table. However, the powered table pays for itself through the therapist's sessions. So, it is worth the investment. More advanced powered tables can range from $2,000-$7,000. They come equipped with far more amenities and functions. Either type is a proper investment for a serious massage therapist.
Standard Features
-
There are standard features which come with the table. The electrically-powered massage table has several options which target specific areas of the client's body. Typically, the powered tables come 24 inches in width. However, there is a more narrow option of 21 inches, more ideal for chiropractors. There are lumbar and thoracic elevation sections within the powered table as well. As the standard, it only elevates and de-elevates --- from the elevated level back to the original, flat level. A multi-directional head piece and arm rests are also standard for most powered massage tables. The electrically-powered massage table has several optional features and add-ons.
Optional Features
-
The optional features are add-ons which can enhance the table's use. Some electrically-powered massage tables come with extra amenities. The most common add-on is the ability drop certain sections of the powered table. The sections include but are not limited to: lumbar drop sections, a thoracic drop section, and a cervical drop section. There are various head rests available as well. They include the physiotherapy style headset and the slip on adjustable massage head rest. The back rest is also an option for clients.
Color and Fabric Upgrades
-
Several color are available for these tables. The fabric colors of an electrically-powered table's leather upholstery can vary. There are more than 40 colors for selection, ranging from "light sandalwood" to royal blue. Also, there is an option to upgrade to vinyl upholster. Even the vinyl's color has over 40 selections from which to choose.
