How to Make a Heated Neck Pillow
Making a neck pillow is easy and saves money. It is made from fabric and ingredients that can be found in your local market. By making your own, you can decide to make it scented or unscented. A heated neck pillow helps relieve stiffness, relaxes muscles and relieves soreness around the neck and shoulder area.Things You'll Need

1
Decide on scented or unscented. If you do decide to add essential oil, mix 25 drops with 2 cups of flax seed and let dry.
-
2
Measure and cut fabric 9 inches wide by 18 inches long.
-
3
Fold and press raw edges ½ inch toward the wrong side of the fabric. This will make a clean edge on all sides.
-
4
Fold and press fabric in half (width-wise) with right sides together.
-
5
Sew a ½-inch seam along one short edge and along the long (open) edge. Leave one short end open. Flip inside out and press. You should now have a rectangular pillow casing with one side open.
-
6
Pour flax seed mixture, using your funnel, into the pillow casing until it is 75 percent full.
-
7
Close the opening with a ½-inch zigzag stitch to prevent the seam from reopening.
