When acrylic paint is dry water used as a solvent?
Acrylic paint is insoluble in water when it dries. Acrylic paint is made of pigments suspended in a synthetic polymer emulsion, that dries due to the evaporation of the acrylic polymer. Once dry, the acrylic paint is resistant to moisture and solvents. Hence, water cannot be used as a solvent for dried acrylic paint. To remove or clean acrylic paint when wet, soap and water can be used.
