What gives plasma yellow color?
The yellow color of plasma is due to bilirubin, a pigment that is produced when red blood cells are broken down. Bilirubin is transported to the liver, where it is conjugated with glucuronic acid and excreted in bile. In some cases, bilirubin can build up in the blood, causing jaundice, a condition that is characterized by yellow skin and eyes.Color Therapies - Related Articles
