Chakra Work
-
According to SacredCenters.com, there are seven chakras in the human body. Each chakra has a corresponding color, emotion, element, organ and many other aspects. Larimar is associated with the crown, heart, third eye and throat chakras. The crown chakra is the seventh chakra and connects us to divine wisdom. The heart chakra is the fourth chakra and connects us to our feelings of self-love and self-acceptance. The third eye chakra is the sixth chakra and connects us to our intuition as well as physical and spiritual seeing. The throat chakra is the fifth chakra and relates to communication, speech and self-expression.
Selecting Larimar
-
According to Bernardine.com, larimar comes in a variety of tumbled (or polished) stones, rough stones, pendants, bracelets and other types of jewelry. If possible, it is best to hand pick a piece of larimar, as you can better sense which piece is right for you. Once selected, cleanse the stone or piece of jewelry in a mixture of sea salt and spring water. If you are using larimar jewelry, make sure that the sea salt and spring water will not damage the material the stone is set in.
Larimar Healing
-
Because of the connections between larimar and the crown, heart, third eye and throat chakras, you want to focus your intentions on ailments or conditions associated with those areas. For example, if you find you have difficulties speaking up for yourself or other issues involving speech and expression, focus your energies on the throat chakra and the larimar stone. Find a quiet place where you feel relaxed and safe, and spend about 15 to 20 minutes charging the stone. To "charge" the stone you need to visualize light or energy building in the stone. While "charging," think about the positive changes you wish to bring about, and how these changes will influence your life. Once you feel that your intentions have been clearly expressed and have "soaked" into the stone, carry it with you until you feel it needs to be cleansed and recharged.
