How can you locate hidden objects using x-ray mode?

There is currently no technology known as "x-ray mode" that allows you to see through objects. X-ray imaging is real technology used primarily in medical settings and some industrial applications, but it does not provide live, controllable real-time vision and is not available to the general public in a widespread way.
