  Wash the quartz crystal in some soft soap, then rinse any residual soap. at the crystal dry with a soft towel. Keeping the quartz clean will keep the crystal in good condition and prepare it for recharging.

  Set your quartz out in the sunlight for about four hours to let the sunshine cleanse the material. You may leave it out longer than four hours but this is the general amount of time a quartz crystal will need in the sun.

  Place the quartz somewhere out of the way as any kind of charge or energy the crystal retains will dissipate of itself. The vibrations or energies crystals receive will recede naturally.
