How to Dedicate a Chakra Stone

The word "chakra" is derived from the Sanskrit word meaning "wheel". The chakra can be viewed as a wheel or flower that is spinning and has its own color. There are roughly seven chakras in the body and they must be in balance in order to bring harmony and good feelings and thoughts to the user. Chakra stones are used to bring these chakras into balance, and dedicating a stone cleans it and programs it to work on a specific chakra within the body. Dedicating a stone makes it more powerful. Choose a method of cleansing the stone before dedicating it.

Cleanse

  Clean the chakra stone before dedicating the stone to any goddess or god depending on your preference and needs. A dirty stone with unclean and negative energy can't be fully and wholly dedicated.

  Smudge the stone with burning cedar and smoke to cleanse it. Burning cedar is wood that comes from a cedar tree that is then lighted on fire to produce smoke. The cedar and its natural elements will cleanse the stone. Smoke only in a well-ventilated open area.

  Leave the stone out in moonlight for a couple of days depending on how much cleansing is needed. Choose a day where the moon is full, waning or waxing. Let the stone soak up some moonlight for however long you wish. You can leave the stone out in the day too or put it away.

  Bury the stone in earth and use a piece of wood or some marker to show where the stone is buried. Soil that is rich and moist is the best for cleansing. There isn't a specific amount of time that you should leave the stone in the ground so just use a time that is convenient for you. Dig up the stone and clean it with cold water.

  Hold the freshly cleansed crystal in your hand. Make sure your hands are clean and you're in a comfortable and receptive state of mind and physical condition. Begin to think with your highest sense of self and purpose. Feel the stone and align yourself with the stone, passing all your positive energies into it.

  Think of the god or goddess that you wish to dedicate the stone to and call and beckon him or her with your higher self. Feel the god or goddess work his or her divinity through your higher self to infuse the stone with blessings and protections.

  Finish the dedication by saying the words "So be it". Gently place the stone down and affirm to your earthly self, the physical being that you are, and higher self, the mental spiritual being that you are, that the stone has been fully dedicated and negative unwanted energies cannot harm and influence it.
