What to Do When Something Is Stuck in Your Ear
1. Do not panic. The first and most important thing to do is to remain calm. Panicking will only make the situation worse.
2. Try to remove the object with a pair of tweezers. If the object is visible and easily accessible, you can try to remove it with a pair of tweezers. Be sure to use a steady hand and to be very careful not to push the object further into your ear.
3. Irrigate your ear with warm water. If you are unable to remove the object with tweezers, you can try to irrigate your ear with warm water. This may help to loosen the object and allow it to come out on its own. To irrigate your ear, use a clean syringe or dropper filled with warm water. Gently squirt the water into your ear and tilt your head to the side so that the water can drain out.
4. Seek medical attention. If you are unable to remove the object yourself, you should seek medical attention. A doctor can safely remove the object and check your ear for any damage.
5. Avoid using cotton swabs. Cotton swabs can actually push the object further into your ear, making it more difficult to remove.
6. Do not insert any other objects into your ear. This could also make the situation worse.
