How to Focus Your Chakras
The chakra refers to a point in the body where bodily functions and psychic or spiritual energy combine. These are commonly used in Buddhist and Hindu practices. Focusing your chakras requires practice, meditation and the ability to concentrate on guiding energy throughout your body. There are many chakra points throughout the body, but the main 11 chakras are found along the spine.Things You'll Need

Sit on the yoga mat, keeping your back straight and legs crossed.

Visualize your root chakra on the base of your spine extending into the ground.

Visualize your crown chakra on the top of your head extending out and into the universe.

Visualize your other nine chakras, which run in a straight line down your spine, extending in front and behind you.

Now visualize all of your chakras receiving energy from the universe around you. These energies are enhancing your vital life forces.

Close your eyes and inhale deeply. Hold this for one second.

Exhale slowly. Repeat this inhale and exhale breathing process several times.

As you inhale, imagine you are drawing your breath through your root chakra and exhaling out through the front and back of your second chakra.

Repeat step eight for the third through the 10th chakra. Use more than one breath if you feel it is necessary for any chakra.

Bringing your breath through your root chakra, release it through your crown chakra for several breaths, extending your energy further each time.

Slowly open your eyes and breath normally.

Come to a standing position to end your meditation.
