About Chakra Clearing Meditation
Chakras are seven energy centers on the human body; they correspond with the major glands. They are at the genitalia, two inches below the belly button, between the stomach and liver, at the sternum, the throat, the brain, and the crown of the head. They can be blocked when a person has trouble processing energy from foods or emotional output from perceived negative life experiences.-
Meditation
-
The act of meditation involves deep breathing, yogic exercises, visualization, intention, hand gestures, chanting, and postures. The goal is to reach a state in which the body is consciously relaxed, and the mind is allowed to become calm and focused.
Environment
-
A quiet environment is recommended, where she can focus on either one specific object or herself. Music without lyrics (or with one lyric repeated many times) may be used.
Posture
-
The meditating person's back must be straight as an arrow; a person can do this by tucking her tailbone in. Different schools of yoga and meditation teach different postures.
Mind
-
Meditation involves discounting wandering thoughts and fantasies, but this does not necessarily require effort and can "just happen." The eyes can be open and focused on one specific point, or they may be closed as long as one does not fall asleep.
Attention
-
One going into meditation must focus on breathing, fully experiencing the intake of breath as if it is the only event in the world. Do the same on the exhale. This must be done throughout the entire meditation.
Tip
-
Everyone has a choice of whether to link meditation with a belief system. For those who do, they may search for Indian myths and legends involving Shiva.
