Theta Healing Techniques
Theta healing is characterized by tapping into the Theta brainwave while being fully conscious and in control of your thoughts. Although there are many types of healing systems that use Theta brainwaves, the term Theta healing often is used in reference to Idaho-native Vianna Stibal's Theta Healing system, which she developed during the late 1990s (according to ThetaHealingTechnique.com). Stibal's Theta healing system puts forth the notion that the Creator is the driving force behind how our minds can help heal physical ailments. Some strategies for successful Theta healing include taking muscle tests and connecting with the Creator.-
Muscle Test
-
Muscle testing is one of the key components of Theta healing, which involves monitoring the outward physical expression of subconscious thoughts. According to ThetaHealingTechnique.com, the testing works because the subconscious mind and the body are interconnected. Theta healing practitioners administer muscle tests by asking a series of yes-and-no questions and watching for minute changes in specific groups of muscles. When muscles harden, this indicates a positive subconscious response, and when they are lax, the subconscious is responding negatively. For example, practitioners may monitor a patient's arm muscles and ask, "Do you trust yourself?" or "Do you believe in the Creator?" If the muscles tighten, this indicates an affirmative subconscious answer, even if the patient responds in the negative. Muscle testing is designed to help patients discover their subconscious core beliefs and help them strengthen their ability to reach the Theta brainwave.
Connecting with the Creator
-
Unlike muscle testing, connecting with the Creator is a meditative Theta healing technique. According to ThetaHealing-ThetaHealing.com, there are two different meditative processes for connecting with the Creator. One requires patients to imagine themselves as a ball of light that is continuously expanding and rising, until they are larger than the universe and can grow further. The other method requires patients to imagine themselves shrinking down until they are so small they can slip out of reality. The objective of both techniques is for patients to reach a higher, immaterial plain of existence known as the seventh plane. According to ThetaHealingTechnique.com, Stibal believes that the seventh plane of existence resonates at such a powerful frequency that diseases and negative thoughts cannot survive in its proximity. Thus, patients who connect with the Creator and reach the seventh plane will be cured, and according to Stibal, this can happen instantly.
