-
2
Cover the vegetables with water and boil on high heat for 10 minutes. Turn down the heat and simmer gently until they are tender. Season the soup to taste.
-
3
Transfer the soup to a thermos or slow cooker to keep it warm. Eat it whenever you are hungry. Eat only the soup, raw fruits and vegetables. Include one cup of unsweetened herbal tea at night, such as chamomile or peppermint.
Herbal Tea Fast
-
4
Brew a fasting herbal tea blend for detoxification. Combine the hawthorne, stinging nettle, horsetail, blackberry, milk thistle and goldenrod in a tea infuser basket.
-
5
Bring a pint of water to boil in a pot and then remove it from the heat source. Place the infuser basket in the pot and cover with a lid. Steep the herbs for approximately 10 minutes and then transfer the tea to a thermos or teapot. Drink five to six cups of herbal tea per day, warming the brew as necessary.
-
6
Drink only herbal tea and one to two quarts of purified water daily for the duration of your fast.
-
7
Break your fast in the morning with a raw, organic apple and a glass of fresh vegetable juice. For lunch, have the cleansing vegetable soup. Eat a salad and steamed vegetables for dinner. Continue drinking herbal teas for one to two weeks after your fast for maximum effect.
