1
Boost your immune system and clear your bowels before you start your heavy metal cleansing program. Take a mineral supplement, eat light meals, drink lots of distilled, or purified, water and reduce your refined sugar and flour intake --- eat more fiber instead. Exercise and take a mild natural laxative also, to help cleanse and speed up a sluggish colon.

Buy a commercial product or make up a homemade detoxification recipe. Cilantro, otherwise known as coriander, is thought to remove heavy metals from the body relatively quickly and can be made into a pesto with other health-giving natural substances. You need to take 2 tsp. of the pesto a day --- spread it on toast, or eat it in a jacket potato or on pasta --- for 3 weeks. To make Cilantro Chelation Pesto process 2 cups packed fresh cilantro and 2/3 cup flaxseed oil in a blender, then add 4 garlic cloves, 1/3 cup Brazil nuts, 1/3 cup pumpkin seeds and 1/3 cup sunflower seeds, 2 tsp. dulse powder and 4 tbsp. lemon juice. Blend into a paste and add a squirt of Bragg's Liquid Aminos to taste and blend again. Refrigerate in a dark jar.

Continue to take your mineral supplement during the detoxification program, but take it at a different time to your cleansing product, or recipe. Also carry on drinking lots of water. Eat healthily during this time, keeping up your high fiber intake. Take a therapeutic dose of organic cider vinegar and aloe vera while cleansing. Things to avoid while detoxifying are coffee, cigarettes, alcohol, tap water, milk, bottled juices, energy drinks and other soft drinks.

Test your heavy metal levels after completing the detoxification. It may be necessary to repeat the process, but have a break of 10 days or so between commercial products. People report better mental clarity and increased energy levels, as well as relief from digestive problems, headaches and joint and muscle pain after heavy metal detoxification.
