How to Take Bentonite

Bentonite is an edible clay used in many detoxification remedies. Derived from volcanic ash, bentonite has drawing and absorptive properties that grab and remove toxins loosened in the body during detoxification. Bentonite is not absorbed by the body but instead travels through the body preventing the intestinal tract from reabsorbing the toxins. The FDA includes bentonite in its GRAS (Generally Regarded As Safe) database. Bentonite is sold over the counter as a powder, liquid or a capsule and is taken by mouth.
