Gentle Liver & Gallbladder Cleanse

A gentle liver and gallbladder cleanse helps to remove toxins from the body. Toxins and buildup may occur as a result of bad eating, pollution, alcohol or even taking medication. Doing a liver and gallbladder cleanse annually will help to remove stones and buildup that are toxic to the body, as well as improving health by eating fresh fruit and vegetables.
  1. Preparation

    • A liver and gallbladder cleanse not only removes toxins from the organs, but also improves digestion. The liver and gallbladder work together to provide bile to the small and large intestine during digestion. A diet too high in fat or protein prompts bile production to increase, causing it to be stored in the gallbladder. Bile that is high in salt, waste and cholesterol becomes hardened, creating gallstones.

To clean the bile ducts to prevent gallstones, a liver cleanse may be done twice a year in conjunction with a parasite cleanse to detox the organ and system. A parasite cleanse removes toxins and parasites from the urinary tract, bladder and kidneys, so that the liver cleanse may be done more effectively.

    Ingredients

    • Before the liver cleanse, drink organic, fresh apple juice three days beforehand. Apple juice is important because it contains pectin, which helps to reduce the size and thickness of the gallstones. Shrinking them will allow easier passage out through the bile ducts. Eat fresh fruit and vegetables three days before the cleanse, so that the intestines are cleared.

For those who suffer from diabetes, check with a doctor or nutritionist for guidance on doing a liver and gallbladder cleanse, since apple juice contains natural sugar.

A gentle cleanse includes the following ingredients: Epsom salts, olive oil, grapefruit and lemon.

    Procedure

    • A liver cleanse is best done on a day where you can stay in the comfort of your home and rest. Eat a simple breakfast and lunch that contain no fat, which will allow the bile to be produced and built up within the liver. Building up bile in the liver will create pressure, resulting in the removal of more stones.

Two hours after eating lunch, do not eat or drink anything else for the day. Mix 3 cups of water with 4 tbsp of Epsom salts and place in the refrigerator to get cold, which will make it easier to consume. Four hours after eating, drink the first serving of salt mixture, about 3/4 cup.

Two hours later, drink an additional 3/4 cup of the Epsom salt mixture. One hour and 45 minutes later, mix together 3/4 cup of olive oil and 3/4 cup of fresh squeezed lemon and grapefruit juice. Shake well and drink. After consuming, lie down on the right side for 30 minutes to prompt the oil to go towards the liver and gallbladder.

Throughout the cleanse, the Epsom salts and olive oil will work together to open up bile ducts and remove stones. The next morning, take a third 3/4 cup serving of the Epsom salt mixture, followed by the fourth serving two hours later.

Two hours after the final serving of salt mixture, start introducing food back into the system by drinking natural fruit juice, followed by raw fruit an hour later. You may eat a light meal two hours after drinking fruit juice, and by the next day a regular diet may be resumed.
