Colonic Irrigation Procedures
Colonic irrigation is the process of flushing all three sections of the large intestines with purified water. This purpose of colonic irrigation is to eliminate candida albicans overgrowth, toxins and parasites from the colon. If left untreated, these entities can enter the blood stream, invade cells and cause a number of diseases. Colonic irrigation is normally administered through a licensed colon hydrotherapist.-
Preparation
-
Most colon irrigation patients are asked to remove all clothing below the waist. They then lie on a table with a basin and insert a speculum or tube in their rectum. When you do this, make sure you thoroughly lubricate the tube and your rectum with the available medicated lubrication. This will better help you insert the speculum and prevent hemorrhoids. As you insert the speculum, be sure to push it in gently about three or four inches. This will prevent it from shooting out when you expel the water. If you insert the speculum too forcefully, you could perforate the wall of the descending colon.
At this point, summon the therapist. There is usually a button for this. She will set the water temperature and get it running. She will usually stay in the room for a couple minutes to make sure everything is working properly. You will then begin the 40-minute process.
Procedures
-
As the water starts to fill your colon, there will be a pressure buildup. The water will continue to flow throughout your session. You should try to hold the water in your colon as long as you can, then release it. This will ensure a more thorough cleansing and allow the water to eliminate toxins, viruses, candida overgrowth and parasites. You will be able to observe the contents of each expulsion through a plastic tube along the wall. Be on the lookout for undigested food and strings. Also, take note of the color of the water. You will report this information after your session. Undigested food may indicate that you are not chewing your food thoroughly. Strings can be tapeworms. Yellow usually indicates toxins, and white is usually candida albicans fungus.
Continue to hold the water as long as you can before expulsion. You may feel some pain, which can be gas or the release of toxins. During the first few minutes, you may also expel more fecal matter. Just continue to focus on holding and releasing. Relax. Some of the colon therapists use soothing music to help people relax.
Strategies
-
During your session, you will have the ability to vary the water temperature between the low 90s up to 104 degrees. Going from cold to warm and back can stimulate and open the illeocecal valve between the small and large intestines. This will help release toxins in an area that you ordinarily could never reach. High temperatures can kill parasites. Make sure you spend part of your treatment using maximum temperatures. Also, if oscillators are available, use them for 15 to 20 minutes. Rub them across your abdomen in different spots. These units can help extricate fecal impactions along the walls of the colon.
Length and Repetition of Treatment
-
Most colon hydrotherapists will recommend six or eight sessions. If you have an illness or need to detox because of drug use, you may need more treatments. Typically, you will be treated one or two times weekly for up to six weeks. Treatment is usually repeated on an semi-annual or annual basis.
