Natural Colon Cleansing Methods
People opt to clean their colon to get more energy, maintain their health and overcome certain diseases. The main impetus behind colon cleansing is to remove excess yeast, toxins and parasites from the large intestines. There are a number of ways to effectively clean the colon naturally. It is often just a matter of choice.-
Juicing With Raw Vegetables
-
Juicing with raw vegetables helps to alkalize the body, which can kill viruses and other parasites in the colon. Raw vegetables also contain high levels of digestive enzymes which can kill systemic yeast (candida albicans) that has proliferated in the large intestines. Raw vegetables also have many vitamins and minerals. Antioxidants such as vitamin A protect healthy cells and eliminates unbalanced ones (those containing parasites and toxins). Some common vegetables used in cleansing the colon include cucumbers, carrots, beets, kale, radishes, cabbage, parsley and wheat grass.
Juicing With Fresh Fruits
-
Though fruits can be mixed with vegetables to improve taste, they are often used by themselves for colon cleansing. Fruits are natural laxatives. They can help eliminate fecal impactions that collect along the walls of the colon due to inflammation from systemic yeast. Fruits also have natural enzymes which break down yeast in the colon. Fresh fruits typically used in juicing include bananas, melons, apples, strawberries, watermelon, kiwi, grapefruits and oranges.
Herbs & Teas
-
Certain herbs and teas kill systemic yeast and help people get their colon healthy. Paul d'Arco is a yeast-fighting herb that can be taken in pill form or boiled as a tea. Others include oregano extract, propolis, tea tree oil, senna and aloe leaves. The latter helps to repair inflamed colon walls once the yeast is eliminated.
Probiotics
-
Probiotics come in the form of "friendly" bacteria which can replenish the body's natural bacteria. The body's bacteria erode when fighting yeast, which makes the environment in the colon more suitable for parasites. Bifuda is the predominate bacteria in the colon. Probiotics can be purchased at the health food store. Yogurt and buttermilk also have cultures which can help to replenish flora (bacteria) in the large intestines.
Packaged Cleanses & Colonic Irrigation
-
Packaged colon cleanses come in powder or syrup form. They contain a powerful mixture of herbs and foods that kill yeast and eliminate fecal impactions. Treatments usually last about one month. Colonic irrigation employs the use of purified water to cleanse all three sections of the large intestines (ascending, transverse and descending). Licensed colon therapists usually administer this treatment, though there are home colonic kits available.
