Natural Body Cleanser Recipes

Creating natural body cleansers at home saves money and can be better for your skin. Body cleansers are easily made from items you already have in your kitchen in just a few minutes. They lack the chemicals and additives store bought cleansers use which makes natural homemade body cleansers better for you.
  1. Natural Body Cleanser- Body Scrub

    • Body scrubs are used for exfoliating the skin to remove dry, flaky skin cells giving the skin a rejuvenate glow. Exfoliating of the skin with a body scrub should only be done once or twice a week. To make a natural body cleanser body scrub use two tablespoons of olive oil combine with two tablespoons of brown sugar. Mix together until blended then use in the shower once or twice a week.

    Natural Body Cleanser- Dry Skin Facial

    • The face is one of the most important parts of the body because everyone sees it. A natural cleanser for the face is made simply with a food processor or a blender. In a blender or food processor combine 1/4 of a cucumber (peeled, sliced and juiced), two tablespoons plain yogurt and two tablespoons of cooked oatmeal. Smooth the mixture over the entire face area and rinse off with warm water. Any leftover mixture can be stored in a closed container for up to three days in the refrigerator.

    Natural Body Cleanser- Body Polish

    • Create a body polish that helps deal with rough patches of dry skin while cleansing the entire body with just a few ingredients already found in your kitchen. In a small bowl mix 1/4 cup brown sugar, one tablespoon jojoba oil extract, one tablespoon almond oil extract, two tablespoons of honey and five drops of lavender essential oil. Smooth and scrub mixture over the skin gently in a shower or bath then rinse with warm water. Prepared mixture can last three days if refrigerated.

    Natural Body Cleanser- Inner Body Cleanse

    • Cleansing the inner body detoxes the body from toxins that build up over time. An natural body cleanse that flushes out these toxins yet still keeps the body hydrated is easily made from things found in your refrigerator and kitchen cabinets. In a large pot, combine eight ounces cranberry juice, 56 ounces water, 1/4 cup lemon juice and 3/4 cup orange juice. Bring to a full boil then reduce to a simmer. Slowly whisk in 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg, 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon and 1/4 teaspoon of ground ginger. Simmer for approximately 10 minutes, then cool overnight in the refrigerator. Drink this all day the next day, either hot or warmed, without eating anything. If hunger strikes, eat an orange or an acidic fruit. Get a full night's rest and eat a normal breakfast the following day.
