Colon Cleansing Water & Sea Salt
Colon cleansing has been a remedy and habit to maintain overall bodily health for centuries. The colon is the final resting place before toxins and wastes are dispelled. Keeping this area clean and unblocked can be the start of preventing and reversing disease. Salt water is great at cleansing the colon. When used properly a little bit of salt can work wonders for a healthy colon, and a healthy body.-
Saltwater Flush
-
One of the best ways of cleaning the colon is to make a saltwater tea. I will admit that this is not the most pleasant tea because it's very salty. By drinking a saltwater tea properly you can expect the body to be flushed within two hours; it is that effective. The best time to do the saltwater cleanse is in the morning. Ideally it is best that you do it on a day where you do not have to go anywhere for at least two hours. It can take anywhere between 15 minutes to two hours before your system is flushed. The mixture will leave your body as if you have diarrhea, so be prepared. The recipe is heating 1 quart of water in a pan. When the water is just below boiling, add two tbsp. of sea salt. It is very important that you do not use the cheap, iodized salt you purchased from the grocery store. It can be extremely harmful to the body. You want to choose unrefined sea salt. You can typically find this salt in your local health food store. The salt is typically larger than the conventional salt from the store, and sometimes appears gray in color (as it has not been bleached). Mix the salt with the water and when it is warm enough to drink, drink all of the mixture. Don't worry about the salt going into the blood stream. Due to the type of salt you are using and the water, the salt will literally push the water through the intestines to the anus.
Extra Tips
-
The saltwater mixture may cause you to gag or not want to finish it. Some people squeeze a bit of lemon juice to offset the salty test. Another method is to get the water warm enough where you can comfortably drink the entire quart without having to stop. The saltwater cleanse may also remove good bacteria from the system. Eating nonflavored plain yogurt will replenish the body with healthy bacteria. As with any remedy, consult your health care practitioner for guidance on the saltwater cleanse.
