How to Naturally Detox the Liver and Kidneys

Next to the lymphatic system, the kidneys and liver are two of the most important organs of the body when it comes to removing toxins and waste products that travel through our cells. The kidneys and liver filter out the toxins in the bloodstream, allowing the entire body to ultimately become toxin-free. In a perfect world, that is how it works. Because our bodies daily come in contact with toxins, from food, stress, pesticides and the environment, these ultra important organs are under constant attack. Follow these tips--to be repeated for five days--for some great ways to detox the liver and kidneys.

Instructions

    • 1

Consume four 8 oz. glasses of pure apple juice a day. Apple juice is a wonderful cleanser to the liver.

    • 2

Avoid animal fat and red meats. Consume no saturated fats. This includes full-fat dairy products, fried foods, margarine, soft drinks and commercial oils (canola, corn and sunflower).

    • 3

Be sure to drink eight to 10 8 oz. glasses of steam distilled water a day. With water flowing through your kidneys and liver consistently, it assists these organs in flushing out accumulating toxins.

    • 4

Perform a coffee enema. Do this just once in the five-day period. This is a critical step because organic coffee activates enzymes in the blood that remove electrophiles (free radicals). Coffee through an enema also stimulates enzymes and causes the blood vessels to dilate which increases bile flow. Moving of bile, or cleaning out the colon is the only way that kidneys can remove their stored toxins. This can only occur through a coffee enema. Consuming coffee orally does not produce the same effect. See the link below for steps on how to perform the enema correctly.

Consume lots of raw organic fruits and vegetables through the cleanse. We hear this a lot, but too few really understand the profound significance of getting raw food into the body. They provide live enzymes, not found in cooked foods, which are critical in the cleansing process.
