How to Make Hand Sanitizer

### Hand Sanitizer Recipe:

Ingredients:

* 2/3 cup (160 mL) 99% rubbing alcohol

* 1/3 cup (80 mL) aloe vera gel

* 1 teaspoon (5 mL) of essential oil (such as lavender, tea tree oil or lemon) -optional for fragrance

Instructions:

1. In a large bowl or container, mix the rubbing alcohol and aloe vera gel together until well combined.

2. Add the essential oil (optional) and stir to combine.

3. Pour the mixture into a travel-sized bottle or container for easy application.

4. To use, apply a small amount of the hand sanitizer to your hands and rub together until dry.

Note:

- Always use 99% rubbing alcohol for making hand sanitizer. Lower alcohol concentrations may not be as effective at killing germs.

- Avoid using water in the recipe, as this can dilute the alcohol and make the hand sanitizer less effective.

- Use essential oils with caution, as some people may experience allergic reactions. If you have sensitive skin, do not add essential oil or start with a small amount.

- Store the hand sanitizer in a cool, dark place and avoid exposing it to excessive heat.
