How do you use hand sanitizer?
1. Dispense a sufficient amount of hand sanitizer onto the palm of your hand.
The recommended amount is usually about 1-2 milliliters, or about the size of a quarter.
2. Rub the hand sanitizer all over your hands, including the backs of your hands, your wrists, your fingertips, and in between your fingers.
Make sure to cover all surfaces of your hands, including your cuticles and nails.
3. Continue to rub the hand sanitizer until your hands feel dry.
This usually takes about 15-20 seconds.
4. Allow the hand sanitizer to air dry.
Do not wipe your hands on anything, as this could contaminate the sanitizer.
Additional tips:
- Hand sanitizer should only be used when soap and water are not available.
- If your hands are visibly soiled or greasy, you should wash them with soap and water before using hand sanitizer.
- Hand sanitizer should not be used on open wounds or cuts.
- If you have any concerns about using hand sanitizer, you should talk to your doctor.
