How to Treat Dandruff With Apple Cider Vinegar

Dandruff is a condition that affects the scalp, causing dry, flaky skin to appear in the hair. When skin cells on the scalp are renewed, old cells are pushed up and out of the scalp. For those with dandruff, skin cell renewal occurs at a much faster rate, making shed dead skin more noticeable. Dandruff has multiple causes including not shampooing hair enough, dry skin, irritated and oily skin (seborrheic dermatitis), eczema, psoriasis, yeast-like fungus (malassezia) or hair care product sensitivity. Raw, unprocessed apple cider vinegar's acidity and enzymes make it especially effective as it kills the bacteria that causes dandruff and other scalp conditions.
