How to Remove Ear Wax With Vinegar & Water
The ear canal is a self-cleansing organ, and the wax produced there prevents the canal from becoming dry or unclean. Ear wax is a friendly substance, and contains anti-fungal and anti-bacterial elements. However, it can cause discomfort, itchiness, or blocked hearing if produced in large quantities, or if allowed to accumulate. You can easily and safely remove ear wax at home with water and vinegar.Things You'll Need
- 3 cups water
- 3 cups apple cider vinegar
- Large porcelain bowl

1
Mix the water and the apple cider vinegar into a 1:1 solution. Heat the solution in a microwave until the temperature reaches 38 C. Check with a thermometer. If the temperature is lower or higher, sensitive people may find it extremely irritating or dizzying.

2
Dip the bulb syringe into the solution and fill. Tilting your head over your sink, pull your outer ear back and away, and aim the nose of the syringe up and back. The goal is to position the syringe so that the mixture streams as a mini-waterfall along the roof of the canal.

3
Squeeze the ball of the bulb syringe and let the solution cascade into your ear canal, bringing out any and all undissolved and hardened wax. Let that wax fall into the sink. Dip the bulb syringe into the solution again and repeat.
