Castor Oil & Staph Infections

Orally ingested castor oil is known in folk medicine as a tonic for constipation and other digestive problems. Some parents would give their children castor oil the minute the child got sick, not even knowing how and why the healing process took place in the child's body. Parents knew only that castor oil worked.
  1. Origin & Longevity

    • Castor oil has been around since 2000 B.C. Castor oil comes from a plant of the genus Ricinus, and its botanical name is Ricinus communis. It is sometimes called palma Christ, which means "palm of Christ." It is a fruit-bearing plant that is native to Asia and Africa. The popular castor oil comes from the seeds of the plant, and extreme care must be used to separate the oil from the rest of the seed because of its poison.

    Early Studies of Castor Oil

    • Purported psychic Edgar Cayce, dubbed the father of alternative medicine, first noted the effectiveness of castor oil and attributed it to the body's own defense mechanisms from the lymphatic system. Dr. William McGarey, a follower of Edgar Cayce, mapped the way castor oil possibly processed healing throughout the body.

    Detoxing the Body

    • Staph infections are bacterial infections that come under a number of conditions conquered by castor oil. To know how this is done, one has to look at the lymphatic system. The liver isn't the only internal element that detoxifies the blood. Lymph nodes, the thymus gland and spleen make white blood cells and lymphocytes that take care of the body's immunity.

    Lymphatic Peyer's Patches

    • Lymphatic sites also clean up extra material that seeps out of the capillaries (small blood vessels). When a person gets a staph infection, the lymph nodes send out lymphatic tissue called Peyer's patches to absorb and destroy them. A compromised immune system does not have the ability to destroy foreign microbes effectively.

    T-11 Cells

    • Castor oil, whether ingested orally or seeped into the skin, has the ability to increase a person's immunity. This is accomplished by encouraging multiplication of T-11 cells within a day's time. T-11 cells are white blood cells that originates from the thymus gland. T cells, including T-11 cells, are killer white blood cells to any foreign microbe.

    Castor Oil Survives Extreme Temperatures

    • The especially helpful attribute of the castor oil plant is that even though it is from tropical climates, it can endure maritime climates such as those found in England. The oil itself can survive Siberian temperatures. This aids in the effectiveness of the castor oil on staph infections in any part of the world.
