How to Make Guggle Muggle

A guggle muggle is a warm drink made of milk and honey. The concoction is an old Jewish comfort remedy used to soothe a sore throat and knock out the common cold. Optional brandy added to the drink makes it suitable for adults and children. Many people still drink a guggle muggle to ease pain in the throat from a cold or allergies. Additionally, the traditional recipe calls for adding a raw egg yolk to the mixture. Because of health concerns, omitting the yolk from recipes is a common practice. This recipe is also referred to as a murgle gurgle. Another alternate recipe calls for citrus juices, not milk.
