1
Add five cups of water to a glass, ceramic or porcelain pot that has a lid.
-
2
Empty one pouch of the Flor-Essence tea into the water and stir it until the herbs are dispersed evenly.
-
3
Place the pot on the stovetop over high heat, until the water boils. Reduce the heat to medium and boil the mixture for 10 to 15 minutes.
-
4
Remove the pot from the heat and remove the lid from the pot. Scrape the sides with a spoon, so all the herbs are back in the liquid. Replace the lid and allow the tea to steep on the stove or counter top for 12 hours.
-
5
Remove the lid from the Flor-Essence tea and give it a stir. Set the pot on a burner with the lid off, and turn the heat to high. Watch the pot for the first signs of steam.
-
6
Place a strainer on top of a glass measuring cup and begin pouring the tea through the strainer once the steam is detected. Stir the sediment inside the strainer so you get the most liquid through and into the measuring cup as possible.
-
7
Pour the tea into a sterilized Mason jar and tighten the lid. Allow the jar and liquid to cool on your counter top, and then store it in the fridge.
-
8
Take one to two ounces of the tea per day as a tonic, or two ounces twice a day, as a detoxifying agent. Give one tablespoon per day to children two to 12 years for maintenance and one ounce twice a day for cleansing. Infant to two years are allowed one teaspoon per day as a tonic and two teaspoons per day for cleansing.
