How to Remove Alcohol From Liquid Herbal Tinctures

Alcoholic herbal tinctures are one of the most widely available forms of herbal medicine in many developed countries. The alcohol is used not only to extract the medicinal components of the herbs but to preserve them as well. Certain individuals however, as well as infants and pets, may be adversely effected by the pure alcohol usually used in herbal tinctures. Luckily, there are several easy methods for removing the alcohol from your tincture, although it will no longer have a very long shelf life.
