How to Remove Moles With Bloodroot
Bloodroot, known botanically as Sanguinaria Canadensis, is a plant that, due to its caustic properties, was often used to remove moles, warts, skin tags and other skin ailments during colonial times in North America. Today, bloodroot salve is being used as a natural, noninvasive method of treating skin growths. Consult your dermatologist before proceeding with using bloodroot to treat a skin irregularity.Things You'll Need

1
Grind 1 cup of dry bloodroot using a grinder. Wear a dust mask to protect yourself from the dust that will emit during the grinding process. Bloodroot dust, if inhaled, will severely irritate the upper respiratory tract.
-
2
Mix the ground bloodroot with a sticky carrier such as zinc oxide or lanolin in a small bowl to make a paste. If you decide to use zinc oxide, make sure the bowl is completely dry as zinc oxide can decompose when in contact with water.
-
3
Transfer the bloodroot and zinc oxide or lanolin mixture to a small glass jar once you've thoroughly mixed the substances into a thick paste. Close the lid over the jar tightly until you're ready to use it.
-
4
Exfoliate the mole gently with a loofah sponge before applying the bloodroot salve. This will allow the bloodroot to penetrate the mole more readily. If you do not want to irritate the mole with exfoliation, however, you can skip this step, though you may have to apply the bloodroot salve a few more times.
-
5
Spread a small amount of the bloodroot salve on the mole using a spoon. Make sure that you apply the paste only to the mole as it may irritate any skin area that it comes in contact with.
-
6
Cover the mole with a bandage, making sure that the bloodroot paste stays within the bandage and doesn't spread to other areas of your skin. Within six hours you may feel a tingling sensation as the bloodroot penetrates the mole. After 24 hours remove the bandage, swab the area with peroxide and then reapply the paste and the dressing.
-
7
Repeat this treatment every day until two days after the mole has disappeared. Treatment may take up to three weeks before you see results.
