How to Make Horsetail Oil

Native Americans have traditionally used horsetail to treat stomach sickness and bites from venomous animals. Horsetail is a plant with antifungal and anti-inflammatory properties. When mixed with oil, the liquid form of horsetail can be used to treat brittle nails, skin infections, rashes, burns and dandruff.   • Extra-virgin olive oil

  1. Extraction of horsetail oil

      Crush three cups of dried horsetail. Place the crushed horsetail in a frying pan.

      Pour 2 tsp. extra-virgin olive oil into the pan. Olive oil extracts horsetail's medicinal properties.

      Heat the mixture at low heat for 20 minutes. Stir the mixture every 3 minutes.
