How to Take Grapefruit Oil

Grapefruit oil boasts a number of health benefits. It can be used as an appetite stimulant, as a kidney cleanser and diuretic, for detoxification and as an anti-depressant. It can be applied topically, inhaled directly or through the use of a diffuser or taken internally as a daily dietary supplement.   • Towel
  • Oil diffuser

      Combine three drops of pure grapefruit essential oil with three drops vegetable oil. Rub onto the bottoms of both feet daily.

      Combine five drops of oil with a pot or sink full of hot, steamy water. Drape a towel over your head, bend over the sink or pot and inhale for 10 minutes.

      Fill an oil diffuser reservoir with water and up to 15 drops of pure grapefruit essential oil. Turn it on and inhale normally throughout the day.

      Mix two drops of grapefruit essential oil with two parts vegetable oil in a jar. Apply to tongue and swallow daily.
