Homemade Silver Ionizer

Silver has long been used to treat external infections. Alternative medicine users have been using colloidal silver since the 1990s. It is produced in pure water by sending electrical current through silver.

Home Ionization

• Connect three 9-volt batteries with copper wire and alligator clips. Wire the batteries positive to negative, and run wire from the last battery's negative terminal around a pure piece of silver suspended in pure water. Wire the first battery's positive terminal and wrap this wire around another piece of pure silver and put it in the water. This will pull current from all three batteries and activate the ionization of the silver in the water, which suspends and distributes the particles of the pure silver in the water. The process is over when the white haze rising off the silver has greatly slowed and turned dark.

Applications

• Silver was abandoned as a treatment when antibiotics became readily available in the 1940s. Colloidal silver is used today to treat common bacterial infections. Users claim that it has antiviral applications. It has been used to treat herpes, cancer, diabetes, HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis.

Argyria

• Argyria is a condition that is caused by overexposure to silver. Argyria is made visible when it turns the lips or other parts of the skin bluish-grey. Overabundance of minerals can cause liver and kidney damage as well.
