Herbs for Women for Energy
A lack of energy is a symptom of many conditions that typically affect mostly women. Women going through menopause use wild yam to ease symptoms such as hot flashes. According to The National Institutes of Health and Prevention, wild yam is also used to increase energy. Eleuthero

Formerly known as Siberian ginseng, eleuthero is a plant primarily grown in parts of Asia. While related to Asian ginseng and American ginseng, it is not part of the panax group. Eleuthero contains compounds known as eleutherosides, which act like the female hormone, estrogen. There is anecdotal evidence that eleuthero supports the immune system, improves concentration and focus and reduces inflammation. According to The American Cancer Society, eleuthero has been used by the Chinese for thousands of years to treat low energy levels. Proponents of eleuthero also claim it aids in relieving cancer related fatigue, as well. More research is needed to confirm the benefits of eleuthero.
Dong Quai

Angelica simensis, commonly known as dong quai, is a medicinal root that has been used in Asia to treat a wide variety of medical conditions for centuries. Dong Quai is excellent for increasing energy levels as it contains the blood building micronutrients vitamin B12, iron and vitamin E. It is used to balance estrogen and regulate the menstrual cycle. More research is needed to confirm the benefits of dong quai.
