How to Use Flor Essence

Flor Essence is a special blend of eight herbs many people take in tea form as a natural cancer remedy. Natural health advocates also recommend Flor Essence as an antioxidant supplement and for periodic cleansing. The makers of Flor Essence recommend adults take 1-12 fluid ounces of the tea a day indefinitely, depending on their needs and reasons for taking it. Things You'll Need

• 1 pouch of Flor Essence
• 12-quart stainless steel stock pot
• Large stainless steel mixing spoon
• Stainless steel teaspoon
• Mesh or stainless steel strainer
• Glass 4-cup measuring cup
• Clean, non-fluoridated drinking water
• 4 eight-ounce storage jars (or one 32-ounce jar)
• Stainless steel pot large enough for storage jars

  Pour 5 cups water into stock pot and stir in contents of pouch.

  Cover pot with lid and place on stove burner turned to high heat. Bring to a boil.

  Reduce to medium heat and allow to boil for 10-15 minutes.

  Turn off heat and remove pot from stove. Remove lid and scrape any plant matter residue from insides of pot back down into liquid.

  Steep covered on counter for 12 hours.

  Sterilize Mason jars (or other heat-safe storage jars) by filling with hot water and setting inside a clean stainless steel pot large enough to contain them completely, leaving at least an inch of space between upper rims of jars and pot. Fill pot with enough water to cover jars. Bring water to a boil. Simmer for 10 minutes.

  Return pot containing steeped tea to burner. Remove lid and stir well. Turn heat to high and watch tea closely.

  When steam begins rising from surface of tea, turn off heat, place strainer on measuring cup and slowly pour tea through to separate solids from liquid. If strainer clogs, gently unclog with teaspoon.

  Pour liquid into storage jars, leaving 1/4-inch gap at top, then seal jar immediately. Let jars cool on counter, then store in refrigerator until ready for use.
