How to Make an All-Herbal Toner
The use of herbs as medicine as well as skin care products predates written history. The benefit of the herbal toner is that its natural ingredients will be gentle on your skin while helping it to restore its pH balance.Things You'll Need
- 8 oz water (distilled)
- 16 oz witch hazel (distillate)
- Sauce pan
- 1 tablespoon nettle
- 1 tablespoon chamomile
- 1 tablespoon elderberries
- 1 tablespoon marshmallow
- 1 tablespoon calendula flowers
- 1 teaspoon coltsfoot
- 1 teaspoon comfrey
- 1 teaspoon eucalyptus leaves
- 1 teaspoon peppermint leaves
- 1 teaspoon lavender leaves
- Strainer
- Lemon peels
- 1 teaspoon dried aloe powder
- Sterile bottle

Pour the water and witch hazel into a sauce pan. Heat the liquid, but do not allow it to boil.

Add the chamomile, nettles, elderberries, marshmallow, calendula flowers, comfrey, coltsfoot, eucalyptus leaves, fennel, lavender buds and peppermint leaves.

Heat the contents on a low heat for up to three hours. Strain out the herbs and flowers.

Add lemon peels to the liquid, and heat the liquid for up to three hours.

Remove from heat and add the aloe powder. Pour the liquid into a sterile bottle. Use the contents within three days.
